Notice for International Students – Change in the Application Process for Temporary Residence Permits (Effective April 27, 2026).

Date: 29.04.2026 Categories: Student affairs

Dear Students,

Please be advised that as of April 27, 2026, due to amendments to the Act on Foreigners, a new, exclusive method for submitting applications for temporary residence permits has been introduced—through the nationwide MOS 2.0 system.
Applications submitted in any other manner (in person at the Office or by mail) will not be processed.
When applying for a temporary residence permit for the purpose of pursuing higher education, the foreign national is required to attach so-called Attachment No. 5 to the application in the MOS system, which replaces the previous certificate obtained from the university.

Procedure for obtaining Attachment No. 5:

1. The foreign student fills out the form in the MOS system and provides the university’s email address:
- for students who began their studies on or after October 1, 2025: zaswiadczenie_uw_w12n@pwr.edu.pl
- for students who began their studies before October 1, 2025: admission@pwr.edu.pl

2. After the student has entered the required information, Attachment No. 5 is automatically forwarded to the university.
3. An authorized university employee completes the document and signs it with a qualified digital signature.
4. The signed document is returned to the student via the MOS system.
5. The student attaches Attachment No. 5 to their application via the MOS 2.0 system.

Applications must be submitted exclusively through the MOS 2.0 system available at:
https://www.mos.cudzoziemcy.gov.pl/
Please familiarize yourself with the new rules and follow the indicated procedure.
