Dear Sirs and Madams,

We are happy to inform you that the Polish Optoelectronics Committee at the Association of Polish Electric Engineers is organizing the 30th edition of the country-wide Prof. Adam Smoliński Competition for the best diploma dissertations in optoelectronics.

The subject matter of the competition includes in particular research into optoelectronic fundamental phenomena, materials, elements, systems and technologies, as well as into the design of optoelectronic devices and measuring apparatus – in a word everything related to the broadly understood optoelectronics.

The competition is open to students who defended their dissertations in the academic year 2021/2022 with honours or with a very good grade.

Submissions should be sent to the Committee Secretary, Dr. Maciej Linczuk, at maciej.linczuk@pw.edu.pl (tel. +48 22 234 7986), by 10 Nov. 2022.

The dissertations will be evaluated by the Competition Jury – the extended presidium of the Polish Optoelectronics Committee. As every year, the prizes in the competition will be funded by entities interested in the development of optoelectronics and reliably supporting the competition in the previous editions.
