The Students' Scientific Group "Transparent Electronics - TE" was established in 2008 on the initiative of prof. Danuta Kaczmarek. From the very beginning of its existence, it has been conducting popularization activities aimed at developing knowledge in the field of electronics and photonics, as well as developing the ability to independently solve problems related to nanotechnology. The concept of transparent electronics combines classical electronics and photonics, which is not an easy task and requires the preparation of a new type of functional materials and advanced microelectronic structures (e.g. multilayer coatings). They enable the simultaneous processing of electrical and optical signals. Students within the framework of the Scientific Group have the opportunity to participate in technological work related to the production of advanced thin-film nanomaterials in laboratories from the Department of Microelectronics and Nanotechnology. In addition, the scope of their research also concerns optical, electrical and structural diagnostics of designed and manufactured functional coatings.
