HOW TO START AN INTERNSHIP
Basic information:
1) The internship should be completed and credited by the last day of the organized classes in the semester in which the internship is required by the study program.
2) The regular time for completing an internship is during summer holidays.
3) By the Dean’s individual consent, the internship may also be completed during the academic year, provided that the student is able to demonstrate (in the form of a declaration attached to the application) that the internship does not interfere with the regular classes.
4) An internship may take the form of:
· agreement on the organization of apprenticeships between W12N and a particular institution;
· other, as agreed with the internship supervisor;
employment under an employment contract or other civil law contract;
· own business activity;
In each of the above-mentioned cases, an internship may be paid.
5) The scope of the internship in any form must be consistent with the profile of the field of study or with the particular specialisation.
Recommended steps:
1) As part of preparation for entering the labour market, the student is preferred to independently find a suitable company or institution willing to accept an apprenticeship – after the student finds such a possibility, they should report to the internship supervisor in a given field or specialisation.
2) Students working or undertaking work must consult the relevant internship supervisor and seek an opinion whether the tasks performed at work are in line with the study profile and may serve as a basis for completing the internship.
3) Other activities and situations not listed directly above are agreed with the internship supervisor and performed in accordance with the documentation available on this website.
