Faculty of Electronics, Photonics and Microsystems

What do we teach?

Regardless of the chosen field of study or specialization, students of our Faculty gain knowledge, skills and social competences under the guidance of leading scientists and educators who conduct their own research on a daily basis in the most important areas related to the Faculty profile, who have extensive scientific and didactic experience resulting from international contacts and who systematically adjust the content of the courses to the dynamically developing achievements in electronics, photonics and microsystems.

University-wide subjects are the same for all students at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. These include courses covering the basic aspects of mathematics and physics, foreign languages, sports activities, as well as humanities and management subjects.

Faculty-specific subjects depend on the chosen field of study and on the decision made during the recruitment. They form the basis of a given discipline, and therefore they are key to acquiring the knowledge and skills specific to the chosen field of study.

Elective subjects are offered in the later semesters in each field of study. Depending on the field of study, they take the form of either a specific specialization chosen individually by students or subjects chosen in hourly blocks by a given student group.
