From 1 - 3 July, a group of undergraduate and graduate students, together with PhD candidate Adrian Chlebowski, represented our Faculty at the Developments in Optics and Communications event in Riga, held jointly with the OptoMeeting conference dedicated to optics.

The trip was made possible thanks to the support of the Dean of the Faculty of Electronics, Photonics and Microsystems and the University authorities. Participation in the event provided students and doctoral researchers with valuable scientific experience and an opportunity to present the results of their research to an international audience.

All participants actively presented their work, delivering four poster presentations and one oral presentation:

• Szymon Lisik - poster presentation
• Adrian Chlebowski - poster presentation
• Paweł Wyroślak - oral presentation

We warmly congratulate Emilia Pomykała on receiving the Best Conference Poster Award and thank all participants for representing our Faculty with excellence.

The visit to Riga also provided an opportunity to explore the city, visit the Museum of Modern Art, and tour the optical laboratories at the University of Latvia, making it a valuable complement to the conference programme.
