We warmly invite you to take part in the fourth edition of the Candela Open Lectures — a series of open lectures dedicated to students, PhD candidates, and young researchers. The theme of this year’s edition is ultrafast optics.
Candela Open Lectures is a series of online lectures delivered by internationally renowned experts invited by the Candela Foundation. This year, the academic supervisor of the lecture series is PhD Eng. Grzegorz Soboń from the Faculty of Electronics, Photonics and Microsystems at Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

One of the lecturers in this series will be PhD Eng. Jakub Bogusławski from our Faculty, who will give a talk on the application of ultrashort laser pulses in microscopy.

This year’s edition of Candela Open Lectures consists of eight talks under the common title “Ultrafast Optics”, delivered by outstanding specialists from around the world.
The lectures will be held online in English every Wednesday at 2:15 PM, from October 29 to December 17, 2025.
For participants, this is a unique opportunity to explore the latest achievements in ultrafast optics, as well as to establish valuable connections with experts and fellow attendees from across Poland and abroad. It is an excellent chance for scientific development and for expanding one’s knowledge of advanced optical and photonic technologies.
The initiative is open and free of charge for all registered participants. The meetings are organized via the Zoom platform. To take part in the lectures, simply fill out the registration form available on the website.
The detailed lecture schedule, along with the profiles of the speakers, is available on the Candela Foundation website.
It will be an excellent opportunity to deepen your knowledge in this rapidly developing field and to broaden your scientific horizons. Participation is especially recommended for those involved in physics, photonics, chemistry, materials engineering, optoelectronics, and electronics, as well as for representatives of other disciplines interested in optics and lasers. Participants will also have the opportunity to obtain a certificate confirming their completion of the course.
